Closet Door Revamp

I've been contemplating a revamp on my the bedroom closet door.  All of the closet doors in the house are shutter style and I'm soooo over them lol.   Thank goodness all of our door frames have casings so that design element is already there *one less project*; but the doors have to go.  I am obsessed  really into the look of curtins for closet coverings.  So many fabrics and styles to choose from but I'm excited.  This project will be taking place in the near future but I'm going to be taking the doors from this
To someting like this.  Also involved in this project will be Lex'closet door and the linen closet in the bathroom.  As always stay tuned, next up is the actual curtain selections... This should be fun.  Until Next time...

Spring is Springing In My Yard

Hi  all Spring is in the air and this moring as I was walking to my car I noticed that my flowers are starting to spring up *yayyyyyy*.  This is my inspiration to get out and do some yard work this weekend laziness weather permitting; because as you can see there are some leaves that definately need to be removed.  I can't remember what was planted so it will be a happy surprise to me once they appear.  I can't wait; but here is a pic of what I found today.  I will be sure to share with you all when they bloom.  Have you begun your gardening yet?  If so share your pics and tips with a chick lol.  Until next time!

Birthday Party Update

Hi there, I'm back with a Lexi' 8th party update.  We have been on the fence about an indoor or outdoor party.  Now being that her b-day is the beginning of April it could go either way weather wise.  For instance when I had her in 2004 there was a heat wave of sorts; the day we brought her home it was 80+ degrees.  Last year in April for her b-day is was a little chilly.  So far this year we been up and down weather wise in NY but we have been having some really warm days.  At this point I'm hoping for a 70+ day and we will be outdoors on the deck under a decorated gazebo for what is being called "Lexi' Pink and Pearls 8th B-Day Jewelry Party".    I  just need a 3 hour window of warm weather puhleesee!!!!!  I wanted to share some elements of the party with you all.

so these are some of my inspirations,  I will of course take pics and let you all see how it turned out.  Until next time!

A Dinning Set At Last

We have finally agreed on a Dinning Room set and I wanted to share it with you all.  I must say I am in love love love with it.  I have been crushing on the bench seating and I finally got it.  The Mr. loved it as soon as he saw it which made it easier for me because I didn't have to convince him lol.

Weekned Project

I have been wanting to do something different with the glass panel in my front door;  I had them frosted but was getting bored with the look.  After scoping out the look I wanted I headed over to my neighborhood Home Depot and found exactly what I was looking for.   It's call Light Effects Window and Door Treatments.   Sorry I didn't take a before pic *note to self.... Must take before pics*  but here is the inspiration
And here is What I came up with... Sorry the pic is so dark I'm sure you all get the idea.  I love it!!!
More projects are on the way as we have decided on a total remodel room by room.  So stay tuned.  Until next time!
